Day-wise itinerary

1. 01

   Day 1: Arrival in Saint Petersburg

   Meet with driver at the airport, proceed for hotel check-in and time to relax.

   Overnight in St Petersburg.

2. 02

   Day 2: Saint Petersburg city tour

   Breakfast at hotel. A 3-hour orientation tour covering the main monuments in the heart of the city: Bronze Horseman, Peter and Paul's Fortress, Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, the majestic St Isaac's Cathedral, Palace Bridge, Hermitage Museum and Kazan Cathedral.

   Visit to Kazan Cathedral, dedicated to Our Lady of Kazan, one of the most venerated icons in Russia.

   Visit to the Hermitage Museum (a must do) — one of the biggest museums in Europe and home to the Tsars of the past.

   Overnight at the hotel.

3. 03

   Day 3: Catherine Palace & Nevsky Prospekt

   Breakfast at hotel. Visit the Catherine Palace and Amber Room in Pushkin City — Catherine the Great's summer palace with its beautiful park and world-famous exhibits.

   Walking tour of Nevsky Prospekt, the main thoroughfare of Saint Petersburg, where most of the city's shopping and nightlife takes place.

   Overnight at the hotel.

4. 04

   Day 4: St Petersburg – Murmansk

   Breakfast at hotel and check out. Meet the English-speaking guide and depart for the airport. Arrive in Murmansk, lunch, hotel check-in and relax.

   Later proceed for a city tour including the Lenin Icebreaker — the first nuclear icebreaker of the Soviet Union, built in 1959.

   Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

5. 05

   Day 5: Murmansk – Teriberka & Aurora hunting

   Breakfast at hotel. Teriberka National Park tour — visit the sandy beach of famous Teriberka, walk along the 'dragon eggs' beach, visit the ship cemetery and enjoy the panoramic view of the sea.

   Evening Aurora hunting — one of the most spectacular things on earth.

   Lunch, dinner and overnight at the hotel.

6. 06

   Day 6: Murmansk – Sami Village & Husky Park

   Breakfast at hotel. Visit a Sami village with lunch, followed by the Husky Park. Dinner at a restaurant.

   Optional Northern Lights hunting in the evening.

   Overnight at the hotel.

7. 07

   Day 7: Murmansk – Moscow

   Breakfast at hotel and transfer to the airport. Arrive in Moscow, meet the guide and transfer to lunch, then hotel check-in.

   Moscow city tour — a half-day orientation tour covering Moscow University, Ostankino Tower, the Seven Sisters, Peter's Statue, New Maiden Convent, the White House of the Russian Federation, Moscow's boulevards and Sparrow Hills.

   Overnight at the hotel.

8. 08

   Day 8: Moscow – Red Square, Kremlin & Metro

   Breakfast at hotel. Visit Red Square (a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1990) with a photo stop at St Basil's Cathedral.

   Inside visit of the Kremlin with audio guide — five palaces, four cathedrals and the enclosing Kremlin Wall and towers; today the official residence of the President of the Russian Federation.

   Metro tour of the most beautiful Stalin-era stations: Komsomolskaya, Revolution Square, Novoslobodskaya and Mayakovskaya.

   Walking tour of Arbat Street, one of the oldest surviving streets of the Russian capital. Return to the hotel.

9. 09

   Day 9: Moscow departure

   Breakfast at hotel, check out, meet the driver and proceed to the airport for your journey home.
