Day-wise itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Almaty
Arrive in Almaty and transfer from the airport to your hotel. Check in and enjoy free time to explore independently. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Almaty city tour & Kok-Tobe Park
Breakfast at the hotel. Start the city tour at 10:00, visiting the Palace of President, Republic Square, Monument of Independence, Astana Square, Abai Square, Palace of Republic, Panfilov Park, Zenkov Cathedral, Memorial of Glory and Eternal Flame. At 15:00 transfer to Kok-Tobe Park on Kok-Tobe Hill for panoramic views from the observation deck and souvenir shopping. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Medeo Gorge & Chimbulak
After breakfast take a guided tour of the mountain surroundings of Almaty. Visit Medeo Gorge in the Trans-Ili Alatau mountains, its high-altitude skating rink and protective dam. Continue by cable car (included) to Chimbulak ski resort at 2,230 metres, known for its mountain scenery and winter snow. Free time for leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Issyk Lake
Breakfast, then a guided tour of Issyk Lake, an alpine lake at 1,760 metres in the Issyk gorge about 70 km east of Almaty. Enjoy forests, flower fields, glaciers and mountain peaks. Transfer back to the city, leisure time and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Charyn Canyon
After breakfast leave for a full-day guided tour of Charyn Canyon, about 200 km east of Almaty near China. Explore the spectacular rock formations and Valley of Castles in the Grand Canyon of Central Asia. Return to Almaty and overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: Gorky Park & Green Bazaar
After breakfast take a guided visit to Gorky Central Park, founded in 1856 and spread over 100 hectares. Discover water features, flower gardens, the amusement park, horse rides, Aqua Park, boating lake, Dino-Park and Dolphinarium. Continue to Green Bazaar for shopping and local Asian sweets; bargain when shopping. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: Departure from Almaty
Check out of the hotel and transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
